Carole FRINDEL, associate professor at the CREATIS laboratory and teacher at INSA Lyon, has been awarded the Fundamental Chair of the IUF*. As of October 1st, 2024, she will be promoted as a Junior Member of the Institut Universitaire de France for five years.
Carole Frindel's project aims to advance ethical AI in the field of neuroimaging by creating innovative machine learning methodologies. The objectives include the development of simplified representations and the integration of clinical information to enhance data. These simplified representations are designed to improve accessibility and trust among clinicians, thereby facilitating the adoption of AI models in clinical practice. By incorporating clinical information, the project aims to increase diagnostic accuracy and mitigate biases. These combined efforts are intended to elevate AI standards in healthcare, adhering to ethical and regulatory guidelines, and ultimately fostering more personalized and equitable neurological care.
