The RGPD came into force in all European Union member states in May 2018. In particular, this regulation provides better protection for personal data. It establishes strict rules for the collection, processing and storage of personal data, particularly in the field of health.
Information notices are a key element in ensuring transparency for the people whose health data is collected and processed. They must state clearly and unambiguously:
- Identity and contact details of the data controller
- Purposes of the processing
- Legal basis for the processing
- Recipients of the data
- How long the data will be kept
- Individual rights
- Data security
This information must enable data subjects to request the withdrawal of their data from the project for which it was collected.
