Objectives
The main goal of 3-D ultrasound imaging at ULTIM is to capture the full 3-D structure of biological tissues and overcome the limitations of traditional 2-D imaging. These limitations include not being able to fully see complex structures and problems with estimating out-of-plane motions. By using faster acquisition techniques and improving 2-D arrays, the goal is to make 3-D imaging systems more precise, affordable, and real-time.

- Design 2-D sparse arrays with an industrial partner for 3-D imaging using fewer channels (read more).
