Invited presentation: Ultrasound contrast agents: fundamental, imaging and new directions
Georges Chabouh, postdoc, LIB, Paris
Ultrasound contrast agents are gas-filled bubbles with diameters between 1 μm and 1 mm used for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. In this seminar, Georges Chabouh will introduce the theoretical modeling of shell microbubbles. He will then present the shell buckling of lipid-coated monodisperse microbubbles and a new application to develop micro-robots for targeted drug delivery. Finally, he will discuss the use of contrast agents for super-resolution 3D ultrasound imaging.
