A computing cluster is a is a group of independent computers connected to each other through a fast local area network and sharing computational workload. The Creatis laboratory has its own computing cluster of about 70 cores. The Linux distribution installed on the computers is Fedora and the batch manager is PBS/TORQUE. The tools and software commonly used in the lab (Matlab, vtk, itk, geant4, gdcm) are also installed on the cluster. For further information about getting an account and using the cluster you can have a look here (authentication needed).
