[Vv] VV - Installation issues

Dear VV users,

I've recently tried installing VV through the source code, starting with
VTK then ITK, with all the right options activated. I had no problem with
these two, however every time I try to compile (make) VV I get a freeze
during the building process and have no choice but to reboot (or to ctrl+c
if I'm lucky to do it early enough).

I decided to try with another source as I was advised to get the source
code through the git repository, but typing this command "git clone git://
git.creatis.insa-lyon.fr/clitk vv" gets me :

" unable to connect to git.creatis.insa-lyon.fr:
git.creatis.insa-lyon.fr[0: 195.220.108.5]: errno=Connection timed out"

​As a last resort I tried downloading the binaries, and VV starts but with
some error messages making it impossible to use :

​I'm running out of option here and would be very grateful if I could get
some help of any kind.
