The CreaTools provide several ready-to-use end-user applications for image visualisation and processing (filtering, segmentation, etc.) After you have installed the CreaTools, you can run the applications by typing their name in a console or by clicking on their icon in the menu entry.

Visualisation and image management applications

Gimmick! (Give me my medical images quick!) reads both standard image formats (.jpg, .tif, .bmp, .tga, ... and .mhd as well) and medical ones (DICOM, ACR-NEMA, ANALYZE, ...). It allows you to easily manage your images by organizing them into different trees (patient |_ series |_images). A previewer displays the selected files.

Image processing applications

CreaContours allows creating flexible contours over any kind of gray level images, including DICOM medical images. You are able to create different shapes like: B-spline, circles, rectangles and bull eyes. These contours are used to extract information from the image, e.g. the usual statistics parameters (minimum value, maximum value, average, standard deviation) and lists of values (x,y,z coordinates and value of each pixel inside the ROI, of each pixel of the contour) and binary image masks. This application includes contour propagation tools and basic automatic segmentation tools.
