What I was getting at was loading during interactive use. e.g. I load an 
image in the viewer via the menus and set the color scale. Each time I 
load a new image via the menu I need to re-set the color scale.

No I have no parameterization in mind. I'm simply looking for a way to 
manually align images in order to create affine transform file for use 
with Elastix.
