[Vv] Format for deformation fields in VV

Dear VV community,

I would like to visualize the deformation fields from image registration. I
have been experimenting with ANTS registration which outputs warped and
inverse deformation fields in .nii.gz format but I noticed that .nii.gz
format was not among the list of supported formats - only the .nii format.

In addition, I would like to know if VV requires a specific format to view
the deformation fields? I.e. does it need the X,Y,Z images in one file or
as 3 separate images? In addition does it have any requirements on the
intensity values of the X, Y, Z images in terms of coordinate systems?
