[Vv] Converting Dicom structure to .mhd metaimage

Dear All,

Is it possible to convert a dicom structure such as a lung mask or a PTV
for a radiotherapy CT image into a .mhd metaimage? I export the dicom
structure with the image data from a radiotherapy treatment planning system
and would like to use Elastix to register my images using the masking
option to improve the registration. I know that you can view the dicom
structures with vv but wasn't sure if you could convert them to .mhd.

If it is not possible, can anyone advise me of any software that can do
this easily?
