Hello,
I am pleased to announce the new 1.1 release of
VV<http://www.creatis.insa-lyon.fr/rio/vv>,
an open-source software from CREATIS-CNRS <http://www.creatis.insa-lyon.fr>.
As you may know, VV <http://www.creatis.insa-lyon.fr/rio/vv> is focused on
the visualization and processing of 4D thorax CT images, but it is also
useful for other medical applications and modalities.
VV<http://www.creatis.insa-lyon.fr/rio/vv>does not intend to be a
large toolbox for medical image processing but a
simple and fast viewer with basic processing tools for daily use. VV runs on
Linux, Mac and Window, 32 and 64 bits.
The main features are: 4D navigation, large number of medical images file
formats reader, DICOM import, simple image processing tools (resampling,
croping, binarizing, arithmetics), deformation vector fields (DVF)
visualization, overlays (transparency and differences between two images),
synchronized navigation between several images, anatomical landmarks
clicking, image type conversion, DICOM-RT structures import ...
You can find information on how to download and use it on :
http://vv.creatis.insa-lyon.fr
This release is probably the last one before the next 2.0 release, planned
before the end of 2010 and which will include image registration
capabilities (manual & automated, rigid & deformable) and automated thorax
segmentation capabilities.
We look forward to hear feedback from you !
David
