[Vv] from cvs to git?

We moved back because there was/is a plan to integrate vv into the
insight applications distribution. However, since VTK is now
transitioning to git, we will probably move back :)

We are currently investigating a couple hosting solutions for the
project, such as Launchpad/bazaar or github/git, but we haven't decided
anything yet.
