I guess MPR , or MIP, or anything else are just used 'to see'.
If he says the generated image is a  'Secondary Capture Image', he may 
drop (or not) all the informations about physical aquisition conditions, 
because nobody will care about them.
He just save the :
0008 1140 SQ 1 Referenced Image Sequence
in case on a day, somebody wants to get back to the original images...
