Olivier BASSET received his DEA degree in biomedical engineering from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) of Lyon and University Lyon I, France, in1986. He received the Ph.D. degree in Acoustic from INSA, in 1991. He is currently professor at the University Lyon I. He is a member of the CREATIS Laboratory (CNRS #5220, Inserm U 1044) at INSA-Lyon. His research interests concern ultrasonic image processing : elastography, tissue characterisation, non linear imaging.
