I'm just not sure I completely understood your question. I'm
guessing your 3D files are presented as DICOM series, and </font></font><font
size="-1"><font face="Arial"><font size="-1"><font face="Arial">If
they actually are, </font></font>you can open each series
in VV (File/Open Dicom) and then immediately save it back to
disk (File/Save current image). This will convert the DICOM
image to the MHD format of ITK/VTK. Next, you can open all your
saved 3D MHD files at once at "File/Open Several nD images into
a single nD+t image". Just play the sequence by clicking on the
Play button at the top left corner and you will see the
animation. You can even save the entire 4D sequence back to disk
at "File/Save current image".<br>

I'm mostly working with 3D+t cardiac MR images in double-oblique
planes. I'm wondering if there's a way to display such images in
their specific orientation rather having them sliced with the
default orthogonal planes? Without this feature I can't use VV
even to view the images, although in it's own VV looks like a neat
application for 4D images. I'd really like to be able to use it.
